Once long ago and far away (Isn’t that where all good legends begin?) there lived a man with a beautiful golden watch. The watch was very dear to the man, not just because of its precious metal and ornate etchings, but because it had been passed to him from his father and from his father before him.

But there came a day when, through no fault of his own, the man found the watch to be broken.

Broken beyond what he could repair. The man knew that if he tried to open up the back of the watch to repair it, he would only damage it further. It was truly broken. And he went to bed heartbroken.

He woke in the early morning hours, startled at his own foolishness.

The solution to his heartbreak was so close at hand! Living in the guest cottage at back of his property was an esteemed guest, a watchmaker. And not just any watchmaker but the most renowned watchmaker of all time! The very one who had invented watches! And he was the man’s friend!
