LINDIWE Suttle, daughter of former TV host Felicia Mabuza-Suttle, has just finished recording an album in New York that she will release in South Africa early next year ahead of a planned worldwide release.

"The album, Kamikaze Art was produced by Ivan Georgiev.

I wrote all lyrics with co-writers. It was very important for me to write the songs. I did not want to start writing the album until I got to Berlin," Lindiwe said.

"I wanted to be influenced by my experiences in South Africa but also by the energy of a different city.

Berlin was very inspiring.

"The title Kamikaze Art signifies that this music is art I'd give my life for. I believe in this album. It is my best, most honest and open work to date.

"I was discovered by German rock legend Marius Mueller-Westernhagen in Cape Town when my friend, jewellery designer Ida Elsje, brought him and his wife Romney to one of my shows.
