BIOGRAPHY:

George Dovas encountered Iyengar Yoga in Sydney, Australia in when he was working as a fitness instructor.

At that time, George was keen to understand what it means to be "healthy" and “fit”. The teachings of BKS Iyengar revealed aspects of human health that George hadn’t encountered in any other modality or by any other “fitness expert”.

Not only was BKS Iyengar’s vision of human health profound, it was also his brilliance as a teacher that was noteworthy, and the skill with which he could convey the theoretical understanding of total “health” interwoven with the practices to achieve that.

In George relocated to Hong Kong at a time when fitness and Yoga were rapidly growing in Southeast and East Asia.

Now, George is the Director of The Iyengar Yoga Centre of Hong Kong. He teaches students of all levels and is a mentor for upcoming teachers. George is an assessor of teachers seeking Iyengar Yoga certification in South East Asia and Chin Offerings - Aadil KOPY
